The Self Agency Identity and Website
The Self Agency launched early in 2016 in Barcelona. It’s a project for rethinking work in the context of greater individual agency. It creates content, runs workshops and works to support others to embed more human principles in what they do.
The identity is deliberately clean and simple, with a typeface chosen for the relative symmetry of the S and A, communicating the idea of working together while also highlighting obvious (and less obvious) differences.
The background imagery of the website is a photograph from the main flea market in Barcelona, selected for the way it reflects the people below. The header image on this page is also a Barcelona photograph: the Mies Van Der Rohe Pavilion. There’s something interesting (and relevant to The Self Agency) about such minimalist architecture in a city famous for a completely different style.
